WECRD holds site tour

Thursday, August 15, 2019

A special WECRD board meeting was held on August 6th at the WECRD building.

The printed agenda listed a meeting with Sprung, who designs high performance portable building structures, and a site tour.

Prior to the 6 p.m. meeting time the site tour had already taken place and the discussion with the Sprung Representative had already begun. After the newspapers arrival a quorum was established. Director Lee Pierce arrived after the meeting had already begun expecting the chance to join the site tour as well.

Dave Barquest, Business Development Manager, from the Calgary, AB, Canada Sprung office was in attendance to answer questions in regards to the building that will house the indoor pool the WECRD has been working towards for years.

How come nearly everything and every story about the WECRD (wrecked) program stinks of some controversy or shenanigans. Year after year, director after director.

So if I understand this overview, one of the directors arrived late to a scheduled meeting and still expected to join a tour. What did they forget what time the meeting was and have no prior knowledge of the tour for a facility they are endorsing? Year after year, different directors but the same results.
