“1 in 6 children in America is facing hunger. I find this unacceptable. So I am fundraising for No Kid Hungry because I want to end childhood hunger in America. So I'm driving my horses across America to raise awareness of Childhood Hunger in America. It will be a appx 7000 miles. Wood is trying to raise 7000 dollars 1 dollar per mile.”

Angela L. Wood of Kentucky is crossing the United States from East to West and back where she will be traveling though the lower states, in a horse drawn wagon with her dog to bring awareness to Childhood hunger.

Her route will bring her through Mountain Home sometime August 1st between 1pm and 4pm.

Her last stop before coming into Mountain Home will be around the Little Camas Inn just past the Anderson Dam cutoff.

Her travels at first were going to have the wagon coming in on Hwy 20, but safety concerns due to the amount of traffic on that road, she will now be coming into town from Canyon Creek Rd. Wood is scheduled to leave Mountain Home on Aug 4. Before leaving town she will stop at the Maverick store for a photoshoot with the store employees. On the 4th she will also be at Carl Miller Park for a brief time, to visit with the public, if you would like to meet Angela.

If you see Angela and her horse drawn wagon in your travels, please stay alert and pass slowly so she can arrive at her stops safely.
