Beta Sigma Phi observes Founder’s Day

The Members of Beta Sigma Phi in Elmore County met April 29, 2019 in observance of their Founder's Day. Beta Sigma Phi is a philanthropic women's organization founded in 1931 to promote friendship. There are currently three active chapters of the organization in Mountain Home and Glenns Ferry.

During this year's celebration, Mary Hillesland of Torchbearer Alpha in Mountain Home and Cheryl Rose and Peggy Watkins of Preceptor Omega in Glenns Ferry were honored with the Golden Circle award recognizing fifty years of membership. Also revealed during the evening were each chapter's Woman of the Year honorees: Linda Smisek of Torchbearer Alpha, Jennifer Cox of Xi Beta Xi and Joanne Lanham of Preceptor Omega.
