On April 22nd the City Council met to discuss several items on the agenda.

A public hearing was held concerning the proposed library meeting room fee increase. There was also a public hearing for the proposed annexation and zoning of a residential R-4 property located at SW Paiute Street and SW Isaac Lane. Alaine Isaac spoke on behalf of her mother, Pauline Isaac, regarding the R-4 property. Isaac stated that her mother has no problem with this property being annexed or zoned, but she was concerned about the project. Isaac proposed the project be changed to an R-3 rather than an R-4 because there is too much latitude in an R-4 project. There is also concern for the roads in the area due to high traffic from putting in multiple 4-plex’s. Isaac stated her mother is not against the growth; her main concern is that with an R-4, there is too much wiggle room on what can be built, whereas an R-3 is stricter on what can and cannot be built.
