The Mountain Home Historical Society recently hosted an "Adventure Camp" at the Mountain Home Historical Museum. Children ages six to eleven learned about cowboy games and dialect.

"In our effort to preserve our local history we also strive to educate," Museum Director Debbie Shoemaker said. " We have partnered with Mountain Home Parks and Recreation Department annually for their 'Adventure Camp' and are pleased to be part of this wonderful program."

In the picture above the children were learning how to play the game of horse shoes and a similar game in which hoops were thrown instead.
