City Council holds meeting to discuss future plans

Thursday, May 10, 2018

The Mountain Home City Council held a special work meeting on April 30, to discuss the planned expansion at Optimist Park, the downtown revitalization plan and code enforcement issues.

At the start of the meeting two audience members had questions for Mayor Rick Sykes and the council, but they pertained to issues with the recreation facility and they were directed to the Western Elmore County Recreation District to have those answered.

When asked if the rumors were true that the pool would not be opening this summer, the audience was assured that the pool was already in the process of being filled.

Councilman Matt Bundy asked for an update on the downtown plan since it is a work in progress and things continue to change. For the full story, pick up a copy of the Mountain Home News or click on this link to subscribe to the newspaper's online edition.
