Economic Development Office working diligently in first quarter of 2018

Just a few months into the new year and the city's Economic Development office is hard at work. Below are a few of the projects they are currently working on.

Railroad Industrial Park

A major project for Mountain Home is the railroad industrial park. This park has been in the making for 20 years, but the process is currently at a standstill since various federal government agencies are involved. Economic Development Director Courtney Lewis hopes to schedule a meeting with U.S. Air Force leadership, but a date has not been chosen yet.

In the meantime, Lewis and Economic Development Specialist Taylor Neveau have found other ways to work towards the industrial park, such as applying to be made an Opportunity Zone.
