Charles Thomas Heath, 96, of Mountain Home, passed away on March 20, 2018, at St. Luke's Hospital in Boise. A Rosary will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 26, 2018, at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, in Mountain Home.

Charles was born on May 18, 1921 in South, Kentucky. He was the son of George and Essie (Deweese) Heath. Charles married Frances Duvall on Oct. 29, 1944, in Sunfish, Kentucky.

He enjoyed hunting, collecting guns, working on and collecting various vehicles and machinery. He was a member of the Carpenters Union for 69 years, retiring in 1979 for health reasons. The family traveled extensively for work and health.

Charles enjoyed camping and telling jokes, he had a mischievous twinkle in his eye and always joked and teased those around him.

Charles and Frances moved to Mountain Home in 1987 to be near their daughter and grandchildren. They enjoyed spending time at their place in Pine. And in true southern fashion, Charles loved to sit on the porch and wave as people drove by.

Charles deeply loved caring for, playing and just spending time with his great grandchildren.

Charles is survived by his daughter Mary and her husband Dave Abrahamson, grandchildren David (Laura) Abrahamson, Charles (Robin) Abrahamson, granddaughter by choice Kathy (Stan) Brown, great grandchildren Skyler (Tanner) Swarner, Levi Abrahamson, Kaytlin Abrahamson, and a sister in-law Dorsey (Pete) Heath, several Duvall sisters and brothers in-law as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Francis Duvall Heath, son Danny Heath, his parents, two brothers and four sisters.
