County Commissioners examine health of Elmore County

As part of their ongoing mission to assess community needs and find ways to improve the lives of county residents, Alexis Pickering of Central District Health Department spoke to the Elmore County Commissioners about ways to make productive changes in the community during their Aug. 4 meeting.

As part of the community support assessment, CDHD looked at three areas in every county they cover with a goal score of 70 percent.

Starting with physical activity, they looked at the county land use plan and what is happening to promote physical activity.
