Weeks after a group of Glenns Ferry High School students led a project to help beautify their community, the Association of Idaho Cities recognized these efforts by presenting them with a state-level honor.

The City of Glenns Ferry Mayor's Youth Advisory Council received this year's City Achievement Award during the state association's 70th annual conference, held recently in Boise.

"Idaho city officials are creative, innovative and solution oriented," the association said. "The city achievement awards recognize the work of cities around Idaho that have implemented pioneering approaches to improve quality of life, address community challenges and enhance service delivery in cost-effective ways."
