Local veteran services highlight commissioner agenda

During the department head meeting of the May 19 meeting, the Elmore County board of commissioners heard the good and the bad from local leaders, most notably from the Department of Veterans Affairs.

There was an increase in veterans aid applications by local veterans or their children applying on their behalf.

Benefit applications were submitted for pensions as well as disability, home aid and other entitlements.
