Sixth graders graduate from D.A.R.E. program

Detective Kyle Holloway from the Mountain Home Police Department addresses the parents of the nearly 320 students from Hacker Middle School that completed the Drug Abuse Resistance Education, or D.A.R.E., program this year. The city police department has taught the program in the local school district the past 22 years.

Following weeks of lessons focused on the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse and the risks associated with using tobacco, sixth grade students from Hacker Middle School completed their participation in the program on Thursday.

The graduation ceremony recognized close to 320 students that participated in the local Drug Abuse Resistance Education, or D.A.R.E., program.
