James Durkett

James "JD" Steven Durkett, 73, of Mountain Home, passed away peacefully on the evening of Thursday, March 9, 2017, with his friend, Linda, by his side. No services will be held at JD's request. Cremation is under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, in Mountain Home.

JD was born Dec. 14, 1943, in Danville, Ill., to Steven and Eleanore (Davison) Durkett. In November 1961, JD entered the United States Air Force. After serving may different tours, he retired March 1, 1985, at Mountain Home Air Force Base.

JD is survived by his friends and family, Linda and Robert Abbey of Mountain Home, and is preceded in death by both of his parents.
