Michael Fredrick Reynolds has completed his journey here on Earth, slipped the restraining bonds of life and went away on his final and greatest adventure. Mike was diagnosed in 2006 with Leukemia, and while fighting cancer, he was diagnosed in March 2016 with Transverse Myelitis.

He passed away peacefully on Sept. 24, 2016, surrounded by family. Mike was incredibly strong and fought for 10 years with courage and a witty sense of humor.

A Rosary will be held at 6 p.m. on Sept. 30, 2016, at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, and a Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 1, 2016, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church in Mountain Home.

Mike was born July 1, 1955, in Rupert, Idaho. He is the eldest of seven children born to Carl and Donnetta Reynolds.

He attended St. Nicholas in Rupert before moving to Boise where he attended Sacred Heart and graduated from Bishop Kelly in 1973. While he attended Bishop Kelly, he meet the love of his life, Anntoinette "Toni" McAfee.

They were married in May 1976 and have been blessed with three beautiful children, Desirae (37), Michael Tyler (36) and Kelsey (32). Mike and Toni have also been blessed with five grandchildren, Kobe, Caden, Kenadee (Jojo) Kynlee and Benjamin (Baby B). Mike was the heart and strength of his entire family.

After attending Boise State, Mike began his farming career in Bruneau until 1984, then began forming his partnership in Mountain Home with his three brothers, Randy, Steve and David. So began the legacy of Reynolds Farms / Bennett Creek Farms.

When being diagnosed with a blood cancer, he made it his mission to raise money and awareness especially for the children, and so began "Mike's Mission" Golf for a Cause. He started this mission in 2009 at Desert Sage Golf Course in Mountain Home and to date has raised close to $200,000.

In 2014, Mike and Toni received the honor of the Commitment to Life award. Mike also enjoyed golfing, gardening, inventing, fishing, and hosting family events at his home became his first passion was his entire family. Mike has always been very protective of his baby sisters, Regina and Carla, who adored their Big Brother.

Mike is survived by his wife, Toni, daughter Desirae and husband Tim Shawver, son Michael Tyler, daughter Kelsey and husband Scott Wood and grandchildren Kobe, Caden, Kynlee, Kenadee and Benjamin, his father, Carl Reynolds (Ellie), brothers Randy (Kerri), Steve (Jeanette) and David (Lorinda), sisters Regina (Bill) and Carla (Gary). He was preceded in death by his mother, Donetta, sister Yvonne and grandparents Joe and Regina Engkraf and Thomas and Pauline Reynolds.
