Property taxes due by June 20

The second installment of property taxes for those living in Elmore County are due by June 20 with payments accepted until 5 p.m. that day.

A notification outlining the amount owed for those needing to pay real property, mobile home and personal property taxes were recently mailed by the county treasurer's office along with information on any delinquencies in these payments.

Payments received after June 20 are assessed a late charge and interest from Jan. 1. Those making payments by mail are asked to ensure they have a postmark by June 20. However, they can expedite the process by bringing their tax stub or reminder card to the courthouse and make payments.

People can make partial payments at any time on any current or delinquent taxes. However, the payment is applied to the oldest delinquency where applicable.
