Pedestrian crossing lights planned at local intersections

New pedestrian crossing signal lights are planned for an intersection on Airbase Road later this year to improve pedestrian safety, according to information presented at a city council meeting Feb. 22.

The Idaho Transportation Department recently purchased two pedestrian crosswalk signals for the city and will likely be placed at Haskett Street on Airbase Road and near Railroad Park and American Legion Boulevard, said public works director Wayne Shepherd.
