Monday, January 11, 2016

Former Fort Worth resident, William Lee Dugan, died on Friday, January 8, 2016, at the age of 64. He was born on September 13, 1951 to William and Nina Dugan in Maryville, Missouri. Eventually, the family relocated to Fort Worth, Texas, where he remained until graduating from North Side High School.

William served in the United States Air Force from 1972 to 1981 in Air Force Intelligence. From there, he went to work for HRB Singer in Bowie Maryland and then Radian Corporation which took him and his family to Austin, Texas, before moving back to Fort Worth where he joined General Dynamics / Lockheed Martin as a software engineer for 26 years. He retired in December 2013.

In October 2014, he and his wife, Rosellen of 34 years, moved to Mountain Home, Idaho, to build a home and enjoy family time together.

They shared a love for travelling, bowling, local events, enjoying time with their children and grandchildren. Also known as Bill by his friends and Buddy by his grandchildren, he loved to tend to his garden and meet new people in his new hometown. He had a talent for pool and had played on leagues around the Fort Worth area where he made many life-long friends.

A recent highlight was when he and his teammates made it to first place in the local mixed doubles bowling league. Bill was a devoted husband and father to which family was everything.

Buddy would always tease his grandchildren and spoil them whenever possible. His family remembers some of his best qualities were that he was:

Truly wonderful, observant, motivating & inspirational dad & grandfather, eternally trusting & selfless soulmate & husband, immutable teacher & teammate, inquisitive, nostalgic, generous, invariable nurturer & analytical, Buddy, uplifting, clever & kind-hearted, equitable, thinker.

Bill is survived by his wife, Rosellen; daughter, Connie (Scott) Clark; daughter Crista (Sean) Ramm; son Dallas (Mandy) Dugan; daughter Jessica (Stephen) Hammons; grandchildren, Ashlyn, Emily, Madeline, Jonathan, Holly, Audrey, Aaron, Ethan, Collin, Cadence, Katie, Stephen, Camie, and Ryanne.

Services will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2016, at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel in Mountain Home, at 2:00 p.m. Following, the family will greet friends from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. at the American Legion Post 101, 715 S 3rd W, in Mountain Home.
