County sheriff's office issues boating advisory

The Elmore County Sheriff's Department launched an effort late last month aimed at curbing incidents involving alcohol-related incidents on local lakes, rivers and other waterways.

The department's marine division is one of a number of law enforcement agencies participating in Operation Dry Water, which seeks to discourage people from boating while under the influence.
