Wesley "Wes" Todd Greer, passed away suddenly on Oct. 16, 2014, in Mountain Home.

A memorial graveside service with military honors will be held at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, Oct. 21, at Mountain View Cemetery.

Cremation is under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.

Wes was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend. Wes had a great relationship with his two sons and his step-children.

He loved the outdoors, where he could fish and hunt.

He was an avid Green Bay Packers and Boise State fan.

Wes had a passion for flying as a trained and skilled pilot.

Above all, he loved his relationship with his family and friends.

Wes loved to serve his state and country. He started his career in the United States Air Force in 1973 serving 20 years.

The military took him many amazing places around the world, where he received numerous awards and accomplishments, including service in both the Vietnam War and Operation Desert Storm.

Wes then served proudly as a police officer with the local police department, where he began his next career as a pilot in the Civil Air Patrol.

He then spent 20 years working with the state of Idaho. He took great pride in his career with the state and made many great friends along the way.

Wes is survived by his wife, Vonda, whom he married in 2003, his two sons, Lucas Greer and Skylar Greer, his stepchildren, Gannon McManus (Julie), Laura McManus (Tyler), Shane Woodland (Jennifer), his father, Ray Greer (Jean), his siblings Kevin Greer, Tamra Miller, RaeAnn Rich (Tim), Chris Cook (Clara), seven grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Wes was preceded in death by his mother, Janice Bryant.

Wes will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
