Many cheered while others shed tears of joy as families welcomed home hundreds of airmen from Mountain Home Air Force Base on Friday evening.

Aircrews and maintenance specialists from the 391st Fighter Squadron had spent the past four months in the Pacific region as part of a regularly scheduled deployment.

The squadron, commonly known as the Bold Tigers, spent the first two months in Hawaii where airmen from the base participated in a Pacific Rim exercise. The international training event included military units from across the United States as well as 22 other nations.
