Bus service to trim routes

Citing higher operating costs and fewer subsidies to maintain its current level of service, the Treasure Valley Transit is expected to cut back its local bus routes starting Aug. 4.

According to company officials, the two existing routes that run around the city and out to Mountain Home Air Force Base will combine into a single, 12-hour route that would continue to run Monday to Friday.
