Taking the plunge

Cody Lucks dives into the city pool at Richard Aguirre Park during the Second Annual Penguin Plunge on Saturday.

Dozens of individuals took the plunge at the local park to help raise more than $5,000 for the High Hopes Special Olympics team in Mountain Home.

Proceeds will help the team as it competes in the state summer games, which begin June 6 in Payette.

Mayor Tom Rist heads for the deck after he became the first person to take the plunge during this year's festivities.
