Anna Braithwaite

Anna Jane Braithwaite, 89, of Mountain Home, passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2014, in the comfort of her home.

Per her wishes, there will be no services, however, there will be celebration of her life on June, 7, 2014, at 4 p.m. at her home.

Cremation was under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel in Mountain Home.

Anna was born to Clarence and Zelpha Davis in Venice, Utah, on May 30, 1924, and was one of 11 children. She attended grade school and high school in Richfield, Utah, where she grew up.

She married R.G. Braithwaite Dec. 24, 1943, after meeting him while working at JC Penney.

During the first years of their marriage, Anna and R.G. lived in Richfield, Utah, where they had two sons, Ronald and Cort.

In 1953, Anna and R.G. moved to Mountain Home, where they bought a farm and had a daughter, Trecia.

In 1960, Anna moved from the farm into town, where she lived until her passing.

Anna enjoyed spending time in the outdoors camping and fishing, especially in the Little Smokey Mountains.

Perhaps what made her the happiest was spending time with her family and she would look forward to her annual Halloween and Christmas Eve feasts when everyone would gather at her home.

She is survived by her brothers, Arlen and Von Davis, as well as, her children, Ronald, Cort and Trecia, and their spouses and children.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and several brothers and sisters.
