Several Mountain Home Lady Tiger softball players earned honors and awards at last week's awards barbecue at Memmelaar Field in Mountain Home.

The evening started with a softball game between the Lady Tigers and the "Geritol Bandits" (a team made up mostly of parents, friends and coaches), won by the Lady Tigers.

After the barbecue, Lady Tiger head coach Ron Nicolosi handed out awards.

Taylor Reed was voted by the coaches in the SIC 4A as a First Team All-Conference Utility Player.

Ashley Sessions earned Second Team All-Conference as an outfielder, and Kelly Elliott received honorable mention All-Conference as an outfielder.

In awards voted on by the Lady Tigers softball team, Morgan Vivier earned the Workhorse Award, Ashley Sessions was tabbed Most Inspirational Player, Heather Adams received the Defensive Player of the Year award and Maeghan Pomerantz earned the Offensive Player of the Year award.
