Letty was born in Orem, Utah to George Lynn and Ruby Elinor Bronson, on July 13, 1928. At the age of 5, she moved to Vale, Ore., with her parents and four older sisters. Her father farmed and built the house they lived in. When she was a freshman in high school, they moved to Adrian, Ore., where Letty graduated. She was a cheerleader, performed in school plays, she loved her high school years and maintained cherished friendships.

In April of her senior year she had a blind date with Gene Davis and they were married eight months later on Dec. 7, 1946. Gene had just returned from WWII.

They lived in Homedale, for three years where they farmed and milked cows. During this time, two daughters, Jeanne and Carla, were born. When the daughters were two and one, they moved to Bruneau. In 1952, their son Eric was born.

They worked very hard with Gene's brother Don and his wife Pat to establish Bruneau Cattle Co., which was a farming, ranching and feedlot operation.

Our mother's favorite job was caring for her husband and their three children. She was extremely loving, a great teacher, and a lot of fun!

She always had a great garden, beautiful yard with flowers, and kept an immaculate house.

She was known to have floors you could eat off of, but no one had to because everyone was welcome to sit at her table with her family and enjoy her delicious food.

She loved doing hair and a few neighbors came for a cut, perm, or a weekly shampoo and set.

She was active in the PTO and served as treasurer of the Idaho Cowbelles Association in 1963. For years she was secretary/treasurer for the Southside Bruneau Canal Co. and corporate secretary for Bruneau Cattle Co.

She worked for several years at the Valley Merc in Bruneau.

Besides all this, she drove silage truck every September.

Letty spent the last 4 1/2 years at The Cottages Assisted Living Facility in Mountain Home. She received wonderful, loving care from Amber, Kathy, and their staff during this entire time. Jeanne, Carla, and Eric want to extend their deep appreciation for the compassion also shown to them. We also had great support from Dr. Crossley during this time and United Hospice the last few months.

Letty is survived by daughters Jeanne Gannon, Carla and husband Chuck Locuson, son Eric Davis, grandsons Curtis and wife Jinney Gannon, Patrick Gannon, Matthew and wife Andrea Locuson, Chuck Locuson and fiancé Krissy, Jeremy and wife Kate Mink, granddaughter Erica Davis, great-granddaughters Hillary and Shannon Murphy, and great-grandsons Dray and Drew Mink.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Gene, son-in-law Tom Gannon, sisters Lynette (Roger) Anderson, Relva (Harvey) Hunt, Ethel (Harry) Stanford, and Dorothy (Capp) King, two infant brothers, infant twin sisters, two nephews, and one niece.
