Briefings on draft F-35 environmental document begin Tuesday

Following the public release of its draft environmental impact statement last month, Air Force officials will host a series of public meetings regarding the possible beddown of F-35 fighters Mountain Home Air Force Base.

Local briefings regarding the next-generation fighter's impact on Mountain Home and surrounding communities are planned for the following dates and locations:

Tuesday, May 8 -- Grand View Elementary School, 205 1st Street, Grand View

Wednesday, May 9 -- Timberline High School, 701 East Boise Avenue, Boise

Thursday, May 10 -- Mountain Home Junior High School, 1600 East 6th South Street, Mountain Home
