Steven Roach

Steven R. Roach, 56, of Mountain Home, died on Oct. 20, 2011, due to injuries in a motorcycle crash.

A viewing will be held from noon until 2:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 26, at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel. A graveside service will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Mountain View Cemetery.

Steven was a man of many talents. He was a husband, father and son, depending on who you talked to. He is a Marine. If you said he was a Marine he would get upset. He is a Marine. He was a carpenter, janitor, aircraft mechanic, automotive mechanic, plumber and electrician.

He was married for 37 wonderful years to his high school sweetheart, Deborah.

Steven lived in Arkansas for close to 24 years, then moved to California where he resided for close to 8 years. He then moved to Idaho where he enjoyed retirement and gave of himself with love to the community, his family and God.

He is loved by all who knew him and will be missed by many. He was a child of God, whose home is now heaven and whose life will always be celebrated.

Steven is survived by his wife, Deborah, of Mountain Home, his sons, Timothy of Mountain Home and Nathaniel and his wife, Chambala, of Great Lakes, Ill., his parents, Nathaniel and Alma Jean Godwin of Arkansas, his brothers, Phillip Godwin of Arkansas and James Godwin of California, his sisters, Vivian Jones of Arkansas and Dena Hamman of Washington, and his granddaughter, Mikalya Stephanie Roach.
