Fireworks, events in park to mark July 4

The public can celebrate the Fourth of July during a day-long series of events scheduled in Carl Miller Park on Monday.

Sponsored by the El-Whyee Business Association, the event kicks off at 10 a.m. with opening ceremonies.

Throughout the day, the park will be filled with a Wash and Shine Car Show, an "Art in the Park" exhibition, food and drink, vendors, games and dunk tanks.

The high school cheer squad will perform at 10:30 a.m.
