Members of the Mad Hatters 4-H robotics team compete in the Twin Falls competition.

The Elmore County 4-H First LEGO-League Robotics Team, "The Mad Hatters," competed at its first tournament Nov. 6 in Twin Falls.

The local robotics club is an ongoing 4-H club. The team members hope to refine their skill at programming the controller/robot named "Bob" with the help of Shawn Tucker, the team's junior mentor and a seasoned robot operator, who joined the team two days before the tournament, said Mary Anne Peterson, 4-H program coordinator for Elmore County.

The team consists of Macey Holland, Tucker Holland, Jakob Lichdi, Kade Morrison, Cody Huntington, Johanna French and Brandon Hultenius, who recently formed as a club in the local 4-H chapter.
