Lady Tigers falter during district loses

The Mountain Home Lady Tigers girls soccer team fell short making it to state, losing the third-place game to Skyview during this year's district tournament held last week.

Bishop Kelly 6, Mountain Home 0

The Lady Tigers lost to top-seeded and unbeaten Bishop Kelly 6-0 in the semi-finals of the District III 4A girls soccer tourney at Bishop Kelly on Oct. 12. The loss put Mountain Home in the consolation bracket of the tournament.

Mountain Home 2, Columbia 1

Mountain Home kept its hopes of a state soccer berth alive with a 2-1 win over Columbia last Wednesday at Bishop Kelly High School.

Shelby Henrick and Rachel Warila scored goals for Mountain Home.

Meanwhile, Amanda Klitzke had eight saves on goal as goalkeeper for the Lady Tigers.

Skyview 5, Mountain Home 1

The Lady Tigers saw their soccer season end Thursday in the district third-place game when they lost to Skyview 5-1.

Nely Martinez scored Mountain Home's lone goal. Meanwhile, Amanda Klitzke had 20 saves on goal for the soccer girls.

The Lady Tigers ended their regular season at 9-8-3 overall.
