Final crossing reenactment scheduled Aug. 8

This will be the last year wagons actually cross the river, as shown in this photo from last year's Three Island Crossing event

The 24th and Final Reenactment of the pioneer crossing of the Snake River will be held August 7-9 at Three Island Crossing State Park, in Glenns Ferry.

Crossing activities begin Friday evening at 7 p.m. with the all-equestrian parade--featuring horses and wagons--that will travel from the Elmore County Fairgrounds to the state park. Line up begins at 6:30.
