The win streak snapped at four last Tuesday at Kuna when the Lady Kavemen handed Mountain Home a 3-1 loss in conference girls soccer.

Shianna Hawley scored Mountain Home's lone goal. Alicen Wendall had nine saves on goal.

"I don't know what happened," said Lady Tiger soccer coach Teresa Hymer. "We just played flat the first half and we got down, 3-0. We played great the second half but we just only could eek out one goal. Kuna's coming on strong in the end, and they're right now in fourth place, just a half a game behind us."

Nampa 1

The Lady Tigers had no trouble with Nampa last Thursday, downing the Lady Bulldogs 6-1 at Eastside Park in Mountain Home.

Shianna Hawley scored four goals, Francesca Hale had one goal and three assists, Kristie Sigloh and Jessica Tindall also each scored one goal, Erica Castro had an assist, and goalkeeper Alicen Wendall had one save on goal.

"We handled Nampa pretty easily last time," said Coach Hymer, "so this was a chance for the whole team to play, and what it does is keep everybody's skills up, so that was good."

The win improved the Lady Tigers to 9-4-1 overall and 7-4-1 in conference play.

They close out the regular season this week. They had Senior Night last night (Tuesday) and honored nine seniors during the Bishop Kelly game.

They close out their regular season schedule this afternoon at Emmett.

The District III 4A Girls Soccer Tournament starts Saturday at Bishop Kelly.

"Right now we're in third place behind BK and Skyview, but I really think we have a shot at going to state, we just need to keep it together," said Coach Hymer.
