Roll over crash on 1-84

Idaho State Police responded to a one-vehicle rollover crash early Tuesday morning involving multiple injuries on I-84 at milepost 96 near Mountain Home.

The crash, which occured at approximately 12:30 a.m. blocked the eastbound lane of traffic for about an hour.

According to Idaho State Police, Christian Sherwood, 18, of Ogden, Utah, was driving a 1998 Toyota Sienna minivan westbound near milepost 96 when the vehicle drifted to the right shoulder.

Sherwood overcorrected, drove through the median and rolled multiple times. The vehicle came to rest on its wheels on the right shoulder of the eastbound lanes of I-84.

Gustavo Rosales, 19, of Ogden, Utah, and an infant were taken via air ambulance to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise.

Angela Sherwood, 21, Tassia Scott, 20, Chloe Scott and Brooklyn Bustos, both infants, were all taken by ground ambulance to Elmore Medical Center where they were treated and released. Christian Sherwood was not transported.

All occupants were wearing seat belts and the children were all properly restrained in child safety seats.

Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash, which is still under investigation by Trooper Hurley, Trooper Ketchum and Trooper Carmack of the Idaho State Police.
