John Watson to run for coroner

John Watson has announced his candidacy, on the Democratic ticket, for the Elmore County Coroner position.

Watson is a retired Air Force dental superintendent and the Veteran's Administration benefits counselor.

He served in the Navy as a Seabee during WWII.

As a master gardener, Watson presently serves as a volunteer instructor in the Elmore County university of Idaho Extension Service's Master Gardener program.

He attended Pearl High School in Nashville, Tenn., Boise State University, and the Air Force NCO Academy.

He is a lifetime member of the DAV, a member of the American Legion Post No. 26, attends the First Congregational Church, and is a member of AMORC.

He is a widower with one daughter, a retired Navy commissioned officer, and one granddaughter.
