Mountain Home also lost all 10 JV matches against Vallivue.

Kuna 8

Mountain Home 4

The Tigers had a strong day in boys singles last Thursday in their home match against Kuna, as they swept the boys singles matches. Chris Ouellette beat Wes Cole 6-1, 7-6 (7-5) in the number one singles.

Drew White blanked Brandon Noble 6-0, 6-0 in the number two singles, and Hiroto Kaneko downed Robert Kiernan 6-1, 6-0 in the number three boys singles match.

Kuna swept the girls singles, in close matches.

Mary Booth lost the number one singles match to Kellie Roberts 4-6, 1-6. Julie Remington battled Jordan Kelly tough before losing 4-6, 3-6 in the number two singles, and Laura Lothrop lost to Lea Johnson 3-6, 0-6.

In boys doubles, Kevin Lee and Josh Lewis got off to a great start in number one doubles with a 6-1 win in the first set, but dropped the second set 3-6, and the third set 6-8. Taylor Acuff and Zach Fischer lost 1-6, 3-6 to Vaughn Christensen and Coby James.

Mountain Home's other win came in the girls doubles, where Brianna White and Lindsay Horgan won the number two doubles by forfeit. Bianca Arbuckle and Ashley Durand dropped the number one doubles match to Erin Goodrich and Ashley Hodges 4-6, 1-6.

Phillip Roemer and Laura Rush dropped the number one mixed doubles match to Ben Fisher and Sam Millspaugh, 2-6, 1-6. Mountain Home forfeited the number two mixed doubles match.

"I was very pleased with the boys singles matches," said Tiger tennis coach Phil McCluskey after the Kuna match. "All three players have begun to really step up their play. May Booth and Laura Lothrop played very well, considering they previously had been playing doubles. Our doubles teams of Kevin Lee/Josh Lewis and Bianca Arbuckle/Ashley Durand came close, but could not close the deal. We are getting better, and soon we will be winning the close ones."

The Tigers were home against Caldwell on Monday, and travel to Bishop Kelly tomorrow (Thursday).
