Maralee Smith, 62, of Mountain Home, passed away at St. Luke's Hospital in Boise on Monday, Feb. 13, 2017. Arrangements are under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, in Mountain Home.

A major equipment failure triggered a power outage in Mountain Home around 2:20 p.m. on Tuesday. According to initial information from Idaho Power, the outage affected more than 4,000 customers with crews expected to restore power by 4 p.m. that day...

David Clifford Hamman, 82, of Mountain Home, passed away Monday, Feb. 13, 2017, at home among family. A viewing will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 16, 2017, at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel. David will be laid to rest with military honors, at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 17, 2017, at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery in Boise.
