Girl Scouts representing troops in the Mountain Home area watch as their cars prepare to launch down a track during their first-ever Powder Puff Derby, held recently. The equivalent of the Boy Scouts' pinewood derby, more than 50 girls and their siblings participated in the race, which involved carving the vehicles carved from blocks of wood. Boy Scouts from Pack 57 and Troop 102 helped the girls by loaning them the racetrack, weighing the cars and keeping track of the winners...
