    March 15, 1925 ~ May 31, 2012 Lt. Col. (Ret.) Earl Bernard Jackson, former military pilot, family man and Boise business owner, died May 31, 2012, in Missoula, Mont. He was 87. Mr. Jackson was born to John Alfred Jackson and Signe Elizabeth Johnson Jackson in Venice, Calif., in 1925, growing up in Santa Monica and in Hollywood.   • * UPDATE: Highway reopens after vehicle crash triggers fire (Local News ~ 07/10/12)
    The westbound side of the interstate near the Ada and Elmore county border reopened around 4:10 p.m. Tuesday after a single-vehicle crash triggered a brush fire. The nearly 90-minute closure included a nearly seven-mile stretch of the highway between the Black's Creek Road off ramp at Exit 64 and the Mayfield Road off ramp at Exit 71.
