It was a job Daryl Page never expected to one day fill. He was quite content honing his skills as an outdoorsmen and using those talents to find and rescue those in need. Over the past 10 years, he watched his team of fledgling search and rescue volunteers grow into a fully operational unit complete with their own operations building, several vehicles and plenty of gear to perform their mission...

Ten weeks into the school year, choir groups from the Mountain Home junior and senior high schools continue to hone their talents as they prepare for their upcoming performances. "It's my best year ever; a good, solid beginning," said Blake Olmstead, who celebrates his 24th year as a choir director and music coordinator with the Mountain Home School District. "Vocally, they are doing great. Everybody in there wants to be there. There's something with the kids that is really exciting."...
