At approximately 8:30 p.m. Friday evening, an Elmore County Deputy made a traffic stop on a man later identified as Russell Scott Andrews Jr. During the stop, Andrew got out of the vehicle to speak with the deputy, he then jumped back into the vehicle and the deputy attempting to stop him from driving away, was dragged by the vehicle 1/2 a block.

Following testimony in February for the county's proposed new zoning ordinances, the commissioners responded to comments and have made several changes in the proposal. Those changes and the final form of the total rewrite of the county's zoning ordinances will be presented at a hearing May 4, before the commissioners, beginning at 6 p.m. in the commissioner's room at the courthouse...

Elmore County Dispatch received a call Friday of a possible sighting of a large cat with a long tail between the Mountain Home Shuttle Service and the railroad tracks. Law Enforcement, Fish & Game, and the Animal Shelter were sent to investigate. Officials found no evidence of tracks or spoor...
