Note: The nature of the Internet makes it impractical for our staff to review every comment. Please note that those who post comments on this website may do so using a screen name, which may or may not reflect a website user's actual name. Readers should be careful not to assign comments to real people who may have names similar to screen names. Refrain from obscenity in your comments, and to keep discussions civil, don't say anything in a way your grandmother would be ashamed to read.
  • Nice blog, SAS. Maybe your next blog should be tricks that some people on opinion sites use, like posting with multiple sign-on names (isn't it remarkable how some of the posters on the banter-box sound so much alike?) Or how about posters so starved for attention that they take people's blogs from other sites and cut and paste the parts about them on to the banter-box? I find that really weird, don't you?

    BoomerBeth,

I find it pathetic. I mean REALLY! Doesn't she have anything else to do?? She spews out as much stuff as another blogger I know of and ...oh wait a minute...I think they're acquaintences actually. Oh and I'm not denying I wrote that comment, but the fact that I mentioned no ones name in it makes me want to laugh! And how about the fact that she calls the blog 'vile' and 'disgusting' but yet keeps reading it and keeps wanting others to read it also?? Why doesn't she just post the link instead of taking the time and trouble to cut and paste? Remember my email? If you want the link, I'll send it to you.

Oh and the BEST part...she called me a TART! I laughed about that all day long. I kind of like it ;-)

    Thanks for the ideas Beth!

  • Thank you for posting Grammar Girl's coments in their entirety. One other thing to note about blogs. Most people who host blogs don't comment further after their intial statement or defend their views by arguing with every poster they disagree with. They let their statements stand and allow the dialogue to flow.

  • Homedog, apparently you haven't been reading the blogs on the Mtn Home website. All the bloggers on here comment further on the responses to their blogs. I see nothing wrong with that. It makes for a good discussion after the blogs are posted.

  • Actually boomerbeth I have been reading the blogs in this paper for quite some time and the comments sections usually deteriorate to what you and I are engaging in right now. I also read a lot of blogs in other places and I'm sure you do too.
