how does any part of your blog have to do with health-care in any form? it's ludicrous.

And it's "single payer health care" which means that the government pays for it (with taxes). But that's all they have to do with it. The hospitals and staff would still be under private ownership and in no way government controlled as opposed to socialized medicine. Socialized Medicine is government run down the line but is not at all a bad thing. Unless your into paying a thousand or two each month to some insurance corp, that would deny your medical claims more often then any socialized or single payer program.

And a majority of Docs/hospital staff in general, are in favor of single payer.

But go on believing your moral majority, conservative hero's if it makes you feel all warm inside to believe their hype.

  • I have no conservative heros. I have no republican heros. I don't believe anything coming out of anyone's mouth connected to the politics of today. Unfortunately, I see no heros there. Wish I did.

  • And the sheeples will still say "how did this happen" and "nobody said this was going on." It is all going on RIGHT in front of us. We are allowing it. I want a set of those blinders that seem to work so well.

  • It would be a lot different if they allowed any company or bank that received the bail out money to give it back. But, this is one way to keep them under their belt and a tight reign on them. Control, Control, Control.

They could pay the money back and it could be used toward the deficit that has been created. Or give tax decreases since a lot of the money would be going back into the govt.

  • President Barack Obama said in Turkey : "We do not consider ourselves a Christian nation or a Jewish nation or a Muslim nation. We consider ourselves a nation of citizens who are bound by ideals and a set of values."

What "ideals" and what "values" and at what point do those "values" come to light? With "God" being removed from all there is...what is really left? Whose "values" are we to follow and who will say if they are right or wrong in the end?

More government power/control is not a good thing. The last thing I want is a business person making the rules on pap tests and colon scans. Let them try to run a country first and get that right before they try to "fix" the rest of it. Before long we will make our car and house payments directly to congress. My, will that not be fun!?

Have a nice, safe weekend everyone. Use those DD's if you are drinking please.

  • Yes, Mike I knew that many are/were lawyers and it does explain things a bit. I just do not understand why we elect these crooks again and again/over and over. If they were bad in their first 20 years---what is going to change? Term limits would be very nice as well, IMHO. Only in the US can a guy be involved in the death of a young woman, become an attorney, and serve in the legislature for the rest of his life. Only in America...or the life of a Kennedy.

"The iron heel of the rich will always keep you down while they stomp on your faces and laugh." (from a post above) Yep, that about covers it and we have allowed it to happen.

  • If pulling out the pistols would work, that would be fine with me. Yet remember fear begets fear. Fear brings out the worst in someone. If you point the gun at someone they will typically respond irrationally and not give you what you want in the end.

Health care is much too complex to let the government in on it. Adding the red tape will make it ever more confusing. Next you add politicians who know next to nothing about the field and giving them the power to make meaningful decisions. Sounds like someone trying to be the hero.....
