Same questions I have had, why use the Aircraft that is suppose to be used for the President as Air Force One with an F-16 along for a photo op and who was going to be taking the photo's when so many didn't know about it. And to fly over ground zero with a 747 without the President onboard and supposely Obama didn't know anything about. Sure was a strange undertaking by the Government and the cost really tells us how they are saving money. Bull Crap

For the past 100 days we have seen more of what Obama truly is. He doesn't give a tinkers **** about spending OUR money as long as it benefits HIM. he doesn't care who he terrifies as long as it benefits HIM. Watching him slather praise and admiration on Specter made my stomach turn because now he realizes he will have his own way in congress. No rubber stamp my @$$. From here on out I will refer to him as President 9/10. Because he seems to have forgotten what happened on that fateful morning in September. When TERRORISTS slammed 3 planes into three buildings killing thousands. When TERRORISTS attempted to take over another airline and fly it back to DC only to be thwarted by true HEROS who gave their lives to save others.

We can no longer say we are at WAR with TERRORISTS. They are no longer ENEMY COMBATANTS. So what are we doing and what do we call them? Getting buddy/buddy with men like Chavez and his ilk, bowing to a Saud king? Apologizing for dragging Europe out of the hands of evil people not once but twice, saying we're sorry to Mexico for their plight with their drug lords, all we have done is bowed down at the feet of people who have no mercy for us. We have given up our neck to the executioner and now are awaiting the next attack. We have shown we are weak and have no stomach to take the fight to the enemy. We have shown that we'd rather plead for mercy than to stand and spit in their eye. Well let me rephrase, no WE....but President 9/10. I didn't vote for him. I don't agree with where he is taking this country. I think in 100 days he has made us weaker in the eyes of the world. I think without due vigilance by patriots such as myself and Bazooka, there will be another attack here. It's only a matter of time.

  • I like this article. The news article is probably the first that I have seen that actually truthful about some of what Obama has done, and the authors seem to see some of the things the same way "we" see them. What a surprise!

I have seen other articles that have been slightly to the right lately. But, this one is definately leaning to the right. A real shocker for a newpaper. Guess writers are getting tired of the shenanigans also. It's about time.

  • Hell, I thought the President didn't know about the photo op. Something you all know that others don't?

Before anyone goes off on a tangent, I'm just asking. I'm a registered Republican, I didn't vote for him, and don't like his policies, I'm just asking a simple question.

  • Hmmmmm. Somone takes off with your plane and it will cost $300,000 just for the pictures and the President did not know? I am sure. That was the best response because of how ticked off people are. I am sure that is the reponse his attorney wife worked out for him.

  • Apparently, someone doesn't realize that the President isn't completely aware of everything that happens during his watch. There are things called departments, and if he had to make a decision for every single thing that every single department did, he would never sleep. (not that many of his decisions make sense anyway)

  • MrMister, I agree with you on that statement, the President isn't aware of everything. Like how there were thousands of tea parties and Obama said he knew nothing about that. Okay, bad example cause I find that one hard to believe. However, I just want the world to see these $300,000 photos. I really think the people who left their building screaming in fear should see the pictures and get copies to hang on their walls. Oh, I wouldn't be surprized if there are a few lawsuits for pain and suffering. The public should be demanding for them to produce the pictures! If that was what they were really doing, right?

  • Kim,

The Prez was obviously being sarcastic when he said he didn't know anything about the tea parties (after all, they weren't held to boost his public image). And I didn't question the fear that the photo op caused for many people; I can't even imagine being in those folk's shoes when they saw the jet. As a matter of fact, I really wonder if the pictures will even be used, given the backlash that resulted. I just tried to make a point that, contrary to opinion expressed here, he really doesn't make every decision within his departments.
