Today was not a great day but I have had worse

Woke up this morning still with that inner ear infection caused by two things.
One was a little itty brown spider crept inside my ear and created a sort of nest. By the time the medics dug that critter out, my ear was very sore, so the medics told me to use ear drops for a short time.
The ear drops contain peroxide, to relive swelling and prevent wax build up while my inner ear healed.
With that and going to Salt Lake Monday in Lexi made for a day needed for rest.
Okay , twas the 3rd to last episode of the Shield, and it looks like its going to get really hairy over the next two final episodes of that series.
As I also watch the Sons of Anarchy I wonder how long that too will last.
TV as we know it has changed, both in quality and creativity. Seems as though when a good series gets on it lasts only a short time then gets axed.
Hollywierd has not had a full recovery from the writers strike that crippled TV and films two years ago.
I keep looking for movies even a series, that has some grit to it. Like a good old fashioned western drama.
There was chat on many Hollywood web sites not too long ago that was about doing up a movie version of the old series Bonanza, as well as another chapter of Lonesome Dove. But I have not heard much past that.
Most films are rushed into, but many good ones are at minimum of 5 years or better in the making.
When the movie version of the Dukes was being ran up the pole, which turned out sour by most Dukes fans, but when it was being planned, I remember casting calls all over for the series.
I visited two of those castings in Utah, one at a casting firm in Salt Lake City , the other in Provo Utah. But few of those that came to the castings just did not have the it factor or did not have the look, and a few hardly knew what the series was all about.
I heard of one casting call for that movie project in Boise, but did not attend, wish I would have.
As I reported earlier this month I got the 411 of a friend of Ben Jones(aka-Cooter) who is in deep working at Cooter's Place, in Nashville, who related that there are plans of redoing the Dukes movie and doing a pilot for a new Dukes series, using an updated car for ye ole General, this time a Challenger rather than a Charger.
I also gleaned from a fan web site that I keep track of, of a attempt to revive the old trucker TV series B.J. & The Bear.
This is the kind of TV that needs to get into the pipeline. While there is a conversion, going to hit in February to give us a clearer picture, better sound and maybe more channels what we need is better programming not just more of the same.
However with that said in months to come the only place that most folks will use to get their news etc from is radio because thankfully, radio overall is still free, and easily available.
Any mile, need to go soak my ear, so good numbers to you all.
