Dating Double Standard, Really ?

I was chomping down my lunch doing month end paper work and caught Dr. Phil's show.

The subject was a Double Dating Standard. The show said that for men dating a lady a few years younger is okay, yet women dating younger men is not acceptable. Huh? Did I miss something here? If any older woman that was secure in career and mind and really wanted a quality relationship, both physically and emotionally came to my house and looked me up I'd be tickled beyond belief. Now I don't know about our current generation , but most guys I grew up with and myself included all wished for that older more experienced woman that could break his virginity both sexually and mentally.

Most of these gals I saw on DR. Phil's show today, had nothing bad looks wise and I wonder that these gals are having a problem finding Mr. Right. Hong Kong Phooey, I'd much rather date or begin a relationship with someone older. Always have. Heck when I was 18 years old I was frothing at the mouth about a gal in our area of Hazzard who was in her 40's. Scary? No. I wanted something real not just kicking tires.

Why this is a Double Standard I did not grasp. In reality for the Gals on Dr. Phil's show today, I think there are deeper issues, not the looks, career, money, or being older.

I would never date anyone younger than I unless there was enough of a package , not just body but mind as well. She would really have to be something. Not counting it out, but I'd rather date or find a real connection with a lady much older than I. I'm 50.

Is there really a Dating Double Standard? In older women dating younger men? Let me know.
