Truckers deserve respect so to those going towing

Just watched the remake of the hit detective police show Starsky & Hutch on the AMC(American Movie Channel) NBC albeit updated is now running Knight Rider. Did we really go through all that and live to tell about it? TV is getting some what better. Although for the life of me of all the remake movies that Hollywierd forgot perhaps on purpose, but forgot B.J.(Billy Joe) & the Bear. Could we truckers say we got left behind? The trucking industry is the backbone to this nation. Not RailRoads, not even aircraft, but those who carry the loads up the roads, delivering the goods we all enjoy. That commands a little respect, and I think we deserve that respect as well as giving it.The one area of trucking that gets little of the respect is us going towing. Get this went into a truck stop near here, no not in Elmore County, but went in and had a rig on back and was told, "hey you cain't park there". I parked with the rest of the long hauler trucks. Excuse me was I supposed to park with the 4wheelers(cars) and clog up the parking lot? Then was told,"you tow guys can't sit in the area reserved or professional drivers". Again I say excuse me, 18 wheeler towing professional or 6 wheels, it don't matter we who tow ARE PROFESSIONAL DRIVERS. For those who do not consider us who tow, professional drivers, sit out there waiting a bit longer wondering where your tow call got put on our list. The recent rain spells snow soon, I bring that up, because no matter weather, hour of day or even holidays when the phone rings we go, any time. I was recently pleased to see the warning signs on the side of the road telling approaching drivers to move over and give special attention to us working on the highway. Of course many move over when its law enforcement on the side of the road, but I have gotten nearly hit or worse because somebody did not move over when I'm doing a road service call on the side of the highway, or a none emergency tow call. Give us in towing your attention when we are working on the side of the highway.
