The Stars Dont Shine In the City
(This was supposed to go up on Saturday)
The rest of my trip in Valle de Elque went fine if you were wondering, except some of the places I wanted to go were closed because of the rain. However, I did make it to a pisqueria (kind of like a vineyard for pisco, a type of Chilean liquor) the Gabriela Mistral museum in Vicuna (that n is supposed to have tilde, but I'm on my English keyboard) Pisco Elqui and Monte Grande. That made for a realy long day because my bus left at 11:30 and I didn't make it back to Vina del Mar untill 5:30 AM.
Sorry I haven't posted for awhile, I've been on the run a lot lately. I've got to admit, most of my classes are really boring and the professors give a lot of homework, but definatly not hard but at the end of the day I still have enought time left to go out whatever night I feel like. On Wednesday night a went to a couple friends houses. I love listening to live music and it seems like everyone in this country plays the guitar and they play all night long. Then Friday night I went out with a different group of friends. We went to a couple different bars and the beach and guess what I'm about to do tonight? I'm going dancing! I love dancing!
One thing I really loved about Valle de Elqui was that from anywhere you can see all the stars perfectly, but here in the city between all the lights and the pollution, hardly any stars shine through and the moon looks a ciggarette stain yellow. But I guess its just a trade off, little city with pristine natural wonders or a big city with lots of crazy dance clubs and fun friends.
