Man pleads guilty to fed. hate crime in death of Mountain Home resident

Steven Nelson, a man from Mountain Home, was beaten and left for dead in an incident that authorities classified as a hate crime.

A Nampa man accused of murdering a former Mountain Home resident last April pleaded guilty to federal hate crime charges.

Kelly Schneider, 23, entered the plea in U.S. District Court on Feb. 7 of violently assaulting Steven Nelson with the injuries resulting in his death.
