Coaches and members of the Lady Tigers varsity basketball team pose for a group photo as they participated in a winter basketball tournament held recently at Parma High School.

With school out of session for the holiday break, members of Mountain Home High School's Lady Tigers varsity basketball team traveled to Parma High School where they participated in this year's winter tournament, which wrapped up Dec. 29.

The Lady Tigers started the tournament with a 35-54 loss to Parma.

Instead of feeling defeated, Mountain Home came back wanting a win. After the loss, they had to play a morning game against Baker.

The Lady Tigers rallied in the fourth quarter with a 53-47 win, advancing them to the consolation bracket title game. Mountain Home knew it would be a tough game against Emmett, who they lost to earlier in the season.

They gave it everything they had and end up bring home the consolation trophy as they defeated the Lady Huskies, 57-49.

The Lady Tigers took to the court on Tuesday as they hosted Vallivue. They return to the road on Thursday, Jan. 19, as they face Caldwell and take on the Lady Knights at Bishop Kelly on Tuesday. Both varsity games begin at 7:30 p.m.
