According to a report from the Idaho State Police, William Templeton of Middleton was driving a 1978 Shasta van westbound on the highway when he drove off the right shoulder around 9:45 p.m.

Passenger Debra Templeton, 73, was ejected from the vehicle and died of her injuries at the scene of the crash. Meanwhile, William Templeton, 68, was transported via ground ambulance to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise for treatment.
